Our Teachers
Dr. Kathrin Stengel
As a professional philosopher, teacher and author of thirty years, I love to infuse my Jin Shin Jyutsu self-help classes and sessions with the wisdom philosophy has to offer to people of all walks of life. While philosophy teaches us about the complexity of the mind, and how deeply it shapes our perception of the world, ourselves and others, it is in practicing Health Is In Your Hands™– Jin Shin Jyutsu that we get to experience how embodied mind and soul truly are: the body being a mirror of mind and soul, and the latter being a mirror of the body. The more we learn to listen to the dialogue of body, mind and soul, and the more we experiment with Jin Shin Jyutsu's hand placements and finger holds, the more empowered we become in harmonizing our whole being anywhere, anytime. Health is literally in our hands!

Dipika Mistry
A graduate of the Middlesex Hospital of Physiotherapy, London, specializing in orthopedic muscular-skeletal rehabilitation, I have always loved using my hands to help people feel better.
In 2006, I discovered Jin Shin Jyutsu as I was looking for alternative ways to help my then ten-year-old son with seasonal allergies. Having been on medication for ten months out of the year, he was now able, for the first time, to go off medication thanks to Jin Shin Jyutsu. What I particularly loved about Jin Shin Jyutsu was that, unlike other Eastern healing modalities, it contained a strong self-help component that made it possible for my son to help himself in addition to getting treatments. Jin Shin Jyutsu has allowed me to fuse my hands-on approach to healing as a practicing physical therapist with my desire to teach others to help themselves in an easily accessible and effective way. For many years, I have taught Jin Shin Jyutsu self help at the elementary and high school levels, as well as in my private practice in Westchester, NY. |
